Reggie took part in our Learn2Work programme during his time at Sculpt. Learn2Work is a professional development opportunity to support young SEND people at the beginning of their careers journey, primarily those aged 16+. This 8 week programme aims to break down the barriers to opportunity through bespoke sessions on important professional and social topics and skill development.

Hi my name is Reggie and I spent 8 weeks on a work experience programme at Sculpt. I would describe myself as someone who has autism, is caring and a good listener. I love 80’s music, the colour purple and my 5 cats. Through this programme I have recognised my interest in film and acting which I would now like to pursue a career in. I now have more self belief to achieve my goals.

Working with Sculpt I was able to identify my skills:

  • Listening – I am able to listen and understand people, especially in times of need.
  • Memory – I can remember lots of information
  • Confidence – I am able to talk to most people and try new things because I have a lot of self belief.

I would describe Sculpt as a place that provides helpful programmes filled with caring and patient people.
