SEND work experience

“The experience was interesting and fun”

As a result of the Covid pandemic, Sculpt refused to pause the delivery of our flagship employment and self-development programme (something that was typically delivered in person). Therefore, in June 2020 we become the first employer of the West London Careers Hub to pilot virtual work-experience placements. We were able to offer a greater number of placements that were both accessible and inclusive to young people who would previously have been unable to participant in our in-person programme. This included reaching disadvantaged groups, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Erin excelled during her placement with Sculpt as we supported her in taking the first steps in her employment journey by individually understanding her interests and passions in a fun and engaging way. We led her through a number of resources that were industry specific, including Sculpt CPD accredited training courses and worked with her on CV development and mock interview preparation.

Now Erin is so happy at School and has been speaking more clearly about what she has been doing, thank you for everything you have done for her
